AEG Out of Warranty Gas Hob Issues

Had a AEG gas hob for just coming up to 3 years. Within the first 2 years had AEG out no less than 6 seperate times to fix faulty switches, thermocouples and ignition parts. Started playing up again a couple of weeks ago. AEG visited yesterday and today offered me either a repair of the same parts that have gone wrong so often before or another couple of AEG products at a discounted price. Tempted by the latter as have no confidence in the initial design. Hob retails for about £360 and they are offering it to me for £160 fitted. Do you think this is a fair deal?

I'd say take the deal. They are effectively offering you £200 for your hob that you've had 3 years usage out of plus the fitting of the new one for free.0
