That's a really bad decision by the DPS!

I'd do everything I could to get their next address and notify their LL of their potential plan!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Hi yes he submitted photos to DPS and evidence from damp consultations but yes they just went on gps letter.
He has got the police involved with the dehumidifyer theft as it was almost £200 but not heard back about that yet...
they didnt give him any of the deposit back and they left before the end of the tenancy and gave 2 weeks notice.. so really they got away with it.. proffesional tennants for sure.

My bf just had enough now the agents imo are rubbish as they should have backed him up, he did get reduced rate and luckily took out there
rent gauantee scheme which is good as the latest tenant has now defaulted.. just gets worse:mad:
not sure what to advise him now

It didn't go to court - the parties used the arbitration scheme. Perhaps a reason for declining to use arbitration next time, assuming that the papers submitted by OP's bf were as strongly put together as possible?

I didnt know you could opt out.. my bf just said it goes to the DPS they then decide, but that there is no appeal.. which seemed damn right wrong imo.
We could not get a forwarding address as the agents said due to data protection and even the police had to go into there offices for it.

Its the 2nd time they have won a case over damp which to me seems like they knew exactly what they was doing, if they knew about damp then surely they would open the windows, not dry wet washing indoors and keep the vents open that was installed for that reason..
I wish there was some way we could warn there next victim tbh
