Half price eyebrow threading in Superdrug

i have been getting threading done for about 4 years now. threading should not hurt that much, i was told it only hurts when then dont know how to do it right. which is very true as i did get it done by a trainee beautician once and god it hurt!!! always worth chatting to them about how long they have been doing it and if they say less than 6 months....RUN lol. also £5.00 is the going rate. £10 is very overpriced. also your hair does get finer and less noticeable the more you have it done. i had too many bad experiences with waxing , so never again.0

Went to a superdrig on Oxford street for dd to have hers done, she loves them and is so happy with them. Worth bearing in mind that my student card took 50 p off so the 10/25% receipt questionaires may provide some omoeny off fo those without NUS cards0

Does anyone know where in Liverpool I could get mine done? I know Debenhams have the brow bar but they are really expensive and coupled with car parking so not worth it. ThanksMFiT-T2 Questee number 1460

sorry if this is stupid question but do you need to make an appointment or is it a case of turn up and wait if someone is there? Also how long does it usually take? My eyebrows are quite unkempt
but would love for a professional to sort them out!
just turn up theres never usually more than a 5 minute wait0 -

Hi, Not sure if I'm a bit late with this, but the Superdrug at Liverpool One has a brow bar and it was still on half price last weekend. I had mine done for £5 and turned out really well. Not sore at all!0 -
I have had it done four times and always swear never again. It hurts a lot, then you have to get home with stupid red brows. But my pet hate is having to hold your skin tight. Just put your fingers on your eyelid , I can't STAND that. Eugh.
And two of those times I hated the shape - my brows are great anyway, just need a tidy up, but once I got two hairy caterpillars, and once brows so thin I didn't look like me anymore.
I like plucking, I have cold flannel and disinfectant on hand to help calm down the redness and I do it slowly in stages. Once you pluck a few hairs, it doesn't hurt any more. Just to find the time...:wall:0 -

Have to admit, I'm with you on the buttox clenching sensation you get when having threading done, having only your eye ball to hand doesn't make it any easier: I'd prefer something else to squeeze onto!! But the thing with threading is I find it lasts longer until regrowth, no idea why it makes no logical sense as to why anyway! And I also end up with a much better shape then if I wax. Having said that, a £10 kit (at its priciest) from Boots/Supermarket lasts for over a year but a £10 threading (or even 2x£5 threading sessions in a salon) last me 1 or 2 months respectively.0 -
There was a signboard advertising this at the White Rose Centre in Leeds on Tuesday.0

Does anyone know of a cheap place in Bristol? I had mine done about 6 weeks ago in level 2 Cabot Circus & was pleased with the result but it's a tenner there...0

I go to Superdrug in Bury to have my eyebrows done every few weeks. Ayesha who does them is amazing and gets them spot on every time. She is only there I think Thursday, Friday and Saturday and there is someone else there at the beginning of the week. I suppose it is down to personal preference and how you like your eyebrows done but the other girl is not a patch on Ayesha. (have had to get them redone when I went to her!).0
