Advice- bank charges to be applied

Hi

I am new to this board and need some advice.

I am having some financial difficulties at the minute due to being on maternity lave after having my first child.

I spoke to the bank (HSBC) and explained my situation and that I am due to return to work in december and they offered to increase my overdraft by £300 untill the end of the month.

Today I have received a letter saying that they are going to be charging me £125 for going over my overdraft 5 times (each time was for no more than around £10)

I have just spoke to them and explained that I cannot afford to pay this as I am already paying them £300 at the end of the month and I am only going to receive around £500 maternity pay but the lady on the phone was really rude to me and basically said that it is not their problem and I will have to pay it.

I don't know what to do about this. I am not going to be able to pay this. Can anyone help

Thanks
Claire
