Im just back from the Killyhevlin on one of their 2 day deals and can not recommend it enough. The Hotel is very well kept, service from staff brill and food fantastic. The surroundings very peaceful but only about 15mins walk to to the town centre, although both nights we stayed in because we were so well catered for. We came across alot of the locals in the bar and the restaurant which speaks volumes.

Nice Doodle Did you try any of the facilities.

Im debating between that and the Motel thats not really amotel in town all though it has to call itself a motel as it has no bar or restaurant its located across from Tescos.

Would you say the basic rooms at Killy are good? Ive just seen they are roughly 45-50.00 per person

I do Like the manor house as well

Will both of them be welcome to kids? I have a small one! 2 yrs old.
  • I would also recommend the Killyhevlin. I stayed there last October on a family break and really loved it. The rooms were of a very high standard, the food was good, the staff were lovely and the facilities were great. I thought it was very reasonably priced. Although my children are early teens there were a lot of much younger children about (it was over half term), and they seemed to be well catered for. We ate in the main dining room on one night and the kitchen prepared something specially for my particularly fussy 12 year old. They couldn't have been more helpful in making sure she got something she liked to eat.

I have never stayed in the Manor House, but have heard good reports about it as well.
