I started 3 weeks ago and have a decent profit going already- £170. My advice:

    1. Don't do ANYTHING until you've completely understood the concept. Then post your figures on the newbies' thread and people will have a look at them for you. There's no rush.

    2. Make sure you follow the instructions. There is NO RISK as long as you do things the right way.

    3. To begin with you will wonder if it's ever going to make sense but trust me, once you've done a couple and made friends with the newbies' thread you will wonder how you ever found it so difficult.

Good luck- see you on the other side!

I second what Mrs S said.

It's sort of difficult to get your head around it at first but it's great when it starts to work. I have made about 180 pounds so far. Don't forget to do as much as possible via Quidco. I've made almost as much on Quidco as I have on the matched betting itself.
  • I have been looking at various threads about this and I just dont get it!!!! I dont understand what it all means? AAARGH! what is the general principal cos I cant find anything that explains it properly

Word of caution. Ive seen many such schemes in the past and they all end up costing you money.

For every £1.00 you make, someone has to loose £1.00. Think about it.

So WHO will loose in order to pay you?
Put another way, will you be the losser paying someone else?

I dont normally come on this part of the forum. All I can tell you is all the people Ive ever met who get involved in schemes like this end up loosing money, whether its 'Forever Living Products' or 'how to get rich form property seminars'.

People must understand the busines;'s like this can only function where there are more loosers than winners.

Just work hard and be smart and never ever relyon third parties to make you money.

Basically it is backing both sides of a coin:

You bet that something will happen and then that it will not happen.

No good with your own money because you would not make a profit. However if you are using a free introductory offer bet then you can convert that into withdrawable cash. :D

Look at my example here for a guide - 2nd post onwards - any questions just ask.

This isn't a pyramid scheme or similar Conrad - the income comes from extracting the Free Bet Bonuses offered by bookies. I rely on myself to place and lay the bets and there is no chance of me losing money unless I make a mistake.

No luck or chance involved at all :D You can find out more on the Gambling Introductory Offer Loopholes Forum on this website.

    Hi

This is no more a scheme than stoozing.

I dont believe Martin would allow a board to exist around a 'scheme' that would lose people money.

Money Ive heard this a thousand times about a thousand different money making endeavours. Do you really think if it was this simple the people who invented it would tell everyone else?

Do mega rich people advertise to everyone else thier latest money making cash cow? No they keep it to themselves.

Look if there were a way to make money in this way do you not think all the Merchant Banks and Pension fund managers in London would be doing it? Why would they bother with buying shares risky and foreign property in order to make a profit when all they need to do is set up thier own matched betting entity?

Beleive me, if there is a way to make money the rich will have cornered it long before. They can afford to pay vast amounts of money to research new revenue generation techniques.

Quantifying the risk is the bit people time and time again fail to recognise.

Im really jst wanting to help, Im tired of seeing hard up people getting hooked by seemingly easy money schemes.

People with the attitude you have of "I know it doesn't work because bla bla bla" really wind me up
There are literally hundreds of folk on this site in the gambling section and I tell you it IS possible to make money from nothing following the simple rules that those guys provide. No one tells you that you SHOULD do it, more of a "this is how we do it feel free to have a go". The people over there that help new people get started use their own time to help us make sure we are doing it correctly and point out errors if one arises from someone, and whats more no one said it was a "get rich quick scheme" either. Maybe if you opened that pig ignorant mind of yours and had a look at the threads you wouldn't be so quick to dismiss someones genuine advice on the subject that you know NOTHING about.
