Hi

we have dual fuel with Powergen and tried to switch a while ago and basically new company said becuse of our two meters they couldnt take it over,

Not surprisingly the info that has been provided is hard to follow.

Why do you think the fact that I have two meters prevented the switch?

Is it the type of meters?

I know that I do want to get the best deal possible and i feel I have to understand it properly to prevent another mess up.

Presumably the two meters are bacause you are/were on Economy Seven tariff?
Or the property was on Economy Seven in the past?

Some suppliers allow you to be on a 'normal' tariff with 2 meters - just adding the 2 readings together - others don't. I assume because their computer accounting systems are not programmed to accept 2 readings for the same tariff.

neiljc, if you cant switch from powergen have a look at the following thread to get some more discount from them. Its called the winter saver discount and gives you another 5% of gas and elecricity.
