judge said sell house how do i make him?

Hi was affter advice, i was in court four weeks ago over finances, my ex is in the matrimonial home as i fled with my two children to a refuge. The judge said the house had to be sold and split, but dose anyone know how long he has to contact me through solicitors to get the ball rolling, im keen and he is not!!!
