Your letter is far too long. I strongly suggest you cut it down to;
Your problem(s)/why you are unhappy - bullet point it if neccessary
What you want done about it as a resolutionBest Regards

This was originally too easy. If the sub goes up and you are in a contract, they cannot enforce it. All you had to do was tell them that you rejected the change, because it was to your detriment and their only choices would be to continue at the original price or to release you.
I lost the will to live reading your long letter. But an option - although it is late - is to reject the change and state that although normally, you would be out of time, this has arisen because you were misadvised by Hannah.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Do you have a source for that? Contracts go up all the time. Gas, electric, phone, broadband etc.One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 -
It is basic contract law. I can't provide a source, it is a principle which is fundamental to a contract but I can provide the logic: A contract is an agreement that X is supplied for £Y. If one party or the other decides something different, then there is no agreement, rather than a change to the agreement. The agreement is reestablished by accepting the new terms.halibut2209 wrote: »Do you have a source for that? Contracts go up all the time. Gas, electric, phone, broadband etc.
Contracts are varied - but always you have the option to find a new supplier or go without. Unfortunately, the regulator has somewhat abrogated the concept of a contract by allowing utilities to change prices without notification until the next bill - which is effectively a retrospective change, but even her, there are rules which allow you to change supplier and avoid the price increase. Totally agree that this letter is far too long.
tbh it sounds as if membership services are at fault here.
What I do is send a letter to membership services, enclosing copies of all documents showing the transfer of membership to that department and tell THEM to get their act together.
If they do threaten court action once again send them copies of all documents and state that you will quite happily see them in court as perhaps they will listen to a judge as you are sick and tired of trying to get someone to do their job properly and update their records.

I very much your right either. If you were no one would have been able to apply the VAT increase.0 -
VAT is outwith a contract. It is applied by government, not by agreement between the partiesMoney_User wrote: »I very much your right either.
