Credit check by 3 - Northampton Communications

Not sure if this is in the right forum but would a new account and credit check by the mobile company 3 show up as Northampton Communications on my Experian file?

I'd call Experian but they don't open until 9am.

Thanks

It would show up as Hutchinson 3G UK LTD

The shop however may have their own in house scoring system which has been authorised for use by Three.

Thanks. I think a call to Experian is in order. The alert only says Company name "Northampton" and in type of business "Communications".

    Yep that's definitely not Three.

BTW, if you call them, they'll just tell you to use the help centre to raise a notice of correction :o

Just called Experian. It was o2 who I switched my broadband to back in August last year. The alert popped up last night.

Why aren't they called o2? Talk about confusing. It too the woman on the phoe some digging to find out who they are.

O2 don't credit search in conjunction with ADSL Broadband orders.

They do for the Landline, but that's an Equifax check not Experian.

I think you've been fobbed off.

I did take their landline too and the dates were right.

    Credit Expert is Experian.

If the dates tie in and there isn't an O2 search on your Equifax file for that date, then fine.

If however you do decide to obtain your Equifax report and see an O2 search on there for the correct date on which you took out O2 landline, then I'd still be raising questions about the search on Experian.

How are you finding O2 by the way?

No problems at all with o2.

Bit perplexed about Northampton Communications though...

I have a Protect My ID account but have nothing like this with Equifax. It's confusing that there are more than one agency that does this making you have to check them all.

If Experian have given me the wrong information, do I have any comeback?

Oh and I never led Experian. It was them who said Northampton were o2.
