My net is running VERY slow

Any help in speeding it up would be appreciated.

You need to give more information !!!!

Who is your ISP ? What are your router stats, have you tested the router with it connected to the socket behind the face plate, have you changed the filter, have you tried your computer in safemode with network (cable connection, wireless will not work in this state), are you using wireless, do you have a dect phone near the modem, ?????

If you can come back with the information, there is a better chance that someone will be able to make suggestions.

I have found today that i cannot open a lot of websites including http://hotukdeals.com/ and http://thesun.co.uk/

Other site are OK

ISP = O2 Broadband wireless

the pages are taking forever to load up, i got a reconditioned sony vaio...the wireless box is fine, i actually reset it. MSE loads up well, but other sites i'm waiting up to 1 minute? i hate slow machines. i'm thinking i need to check settings on this laptop?

Well I have tried 3 PC's and 3 x browsers, MSE loads fast for me as do all my own websites and many more but it seems half the sites out there are very slow or are timing out.

isp is be there and I am in Wilmslow

o2 and be there are the same company I think maybe they have a routing problem

Is it just today? My O2 broadband is crawling this morning, I assume there's problems at their end.

Same here in West Oxfordshire, ISP is O2 and pages are very slow to load this morning, email is fine.

Might give them a call to see whats happening.

O2 contacted on 0800 230 0202 and recorded message says that they are aware of broadband problems affecting customers in several areas.

** Strangely, it has just got a bit faster.....

From support telephone, I get a recorded message that they know of the problem and are working on a fix
