If Hubby is getting redundancy pay then why can he not keepthe payments going ?
£5 a week is hardly going to feed and clothe a 15 year old is it ?

Maybe you are expecting the short fall will have to be picked up by the tax payer

Redundancy pay is normally used for the period when you're jobless. I'm sure it will go towards all the bills that they will still have even though they're down on income.

Of course had to be 1, CM is disregarded for all means tested benefits so regardless of what OP pays the parent with care will receive everything she is entitled to and i'm sure will be claiming which is right legally.

OP wanted to know where they stand and said they would be looking at paying what they can
Forums can be/are a good guide to entitlement and it is good practice to back it up with clarification from the relevant department/specialist with written confirmation to safeguard yourself.

Yes of course everyone we have never claimed benefits not even child tax credits. My hubby did not even know how to sign on and had to ask! I work ad a housing manager and hate to be tarred with the same brush!
