Beware short expiry on Ticketmaster Gift Cards

:(Beware Ticketmaster gift cards have 12 month expiry which is not disclosed at time of purchase from stores and is not obvious on card or paperwork that it comes with, only disclaimer in small print on back of card. I was given a card as birthday gift which had been purchased 9 months earlier and as I wasn't aware of expiry it was out of date by time I tried to use. Ticketmaster not in the least sympathetic. An easy £50 for them, how much do they make in this underhand way? Plus the excessive booking fees, postage and premium phone line charges. Book direct wherever possible for better service and fairer ticket prices. I will not be using ticketmaster again.

You have contradicted yourself.Gone ... or have I?0 -
You have contradicted yourself.
Ticketmaster is the best primary ticketing company when compared to its peers. By that I mean "up time", storage of information, processing, breadth of events, delivery, order routing mechanisms, I can go on and on, etc

This brings to mind that Dilbert episode;
Alice: A gift certificate is completely different from cash.
Dilbert: No, it's not. They're both pieces of paper you can exchange for goods and services.
Alice: You're missing the point.
Dilbert: Actually, a gift certificate is worse than cash, because you can only use it in one place.
Wally: And it expires.
Alice: At least it shows some thought.
Dilbert: It shows defective thought. You're trading perfectly good money for something that does the same thing, only not as well.0
