Hello (I posted this on the main board and was advised to post it here)

I am after a bit of advice, not sure if anyone will know the answer to this though.

I am considering applying for a DRO, and having read around on the deptplan website and the debt relief order website, I still can't find any clarification.

I am wondering how it works really, I mean would both mine and my husbands debts be taken into account, and if only mine, would his income/assets be taken into account for my application?

I am not sure if I have made myself very clear
Hope someone understands what I mean and can help me.

xx

No, it would just include your debts and any joint debts.

New guidelines suggest that only your income will be included, but how the household expenses will be divided between you and your husband is still unclear.

Post up your SOA and we'll be able to give more advice.
