I can count on one hand how many times i've had to use handwriting in the past 3 years.....
There's no way i'd use my out of practice handwriting to fill out a job application.

When you never use it and are out of practice, what exactly does it show? how is it fair to judge someone on that? Should I spend my evenings practising just in case by some random miracle I have to hand write my autobiography one day? get lost.....

    im the same as well,

i do find it strange how there are still firms who insist on hand written applications,

Which I think is illegal now, as it would discourage anyone who is unable to write because of a disability from applying.

Unless it's a job as a calligrapher of course ...

One thing to be careful of is if the form looks like it has been formatted to expect short answers don't go over the top and start writing your life history. Interviewers may expect a few fairly generic stock phrases or bullet points, sometimes the more you put the more chance you have got of putting something that they can find fault with. I had one guy applicant write his autobiography where everybody else literally put 3 or 4 words, his application got rejected.
