Not sure if this is the correct forum or whether this has been mentioned before.
Having previously bought something online from a different company, I find today that I have been scammed for £10 out of my credit card account by the above named company.
Apparently, I unwittingly gave my permission for them to take this money.
I have cancelled any further "subscriptions" by automated phoneline.
However, what are the chances of me receiving my missing £10 back & how would I go about this?
Thanks in anticipation.

Sounds like the first thing to do.
Just a minute...
You "gave my permission for them to take this money"?
Probably not a scam then, eh?
A link might be useful.0 -
If you want help and advice, you need to give all the details

Thanks Edinburghlass. I had a feeling I'd heard about this somewhere before.
wealdroam, not as straight forward as it may first seem. I have NEVER had direct contact with this firm.
The link given by Edinburghlass explains it far better than I can. I don't even know which company that I dealt with has passed my card details on to these parasites.
And yes, of course I've demanded a refund, using some rather choice language which reflected my mood immediately after finding out what has been going on!Donedoingdebt Lightbulb moment January 2000. Debt at highest approx £102,000. Debt now (October 2009 - absolutely fork all!!!)

You need to email them and request they refund the money to you, if it doesnt get refunded back to you in the time they say then try your bank and tell them its an unauthorised transaction
i was caught once but luckily i caught it time before any money was taken0 -
Marleyboy, seems to be pretty clued up with this and hopefully they will post for you.
I agree prehaps the other thread is too long and another needs to be starting as quite a few people seem to be still signing up for this without reading the T&C's.0 -
It could become very messy and confusing if we were to keep creating new threads for the same topic, MSE have a habit of merging similar thread topics together.
In reply to the OP, claiming a refund is relatively easy;
Be sure to demand a full refund (all money taken WILL be repaid - by law!)
It only takes two steps:
1-A phone call (2-3minute), confirm your email, name and address (and you'd like all your money back, as you didn't know that you signed up to this scam).
2-Posting of the claim form. (which they email to you as a result of the phone call)

Thank you all for your helpful advice. Phoned & emailed them & have just received their reply stating that they will refund my £10.
The company I originally dealt with was ticketmaster.co.uk just to forewarn anyone else that uses them.Donedoingdebt Lightbulb moment January 2000. Debt at highest approx £102,000. Debt now (October 2009 - absolutely fork all!!!)
