Colchester solved the problem of chuggers giving-out flyers. They use anti-littering laws to require leafleters to have a permit. Unfortuanately for the chuggers (and local tradesmen) are always unsuccessful with their applications.

I now take the view that they started it!

If somebody disturbs my privacy because they can't read the "No cold Callers" they only have themselves to blame when I give them verbal abuse. Same goes for telesales people who ignore my TPS registration and ring me.

But the most annoying thing is bloody charity bags - now almost daily.

Bin liners. Or for taking stuff to genuine charity shops. They're more useful than a lot of stuff that comes through the door!

I'd go with the flamethrower option myself (set to 'toast' rather than 'incinerate'). The others find the screams distracting.
