If you don't tell her soufllees are hard she'll never find them so...my sister taught me to make soufflee as a young teen and they're really reliable for me because I was not taught to ''fear'' them.....

Its a good idea, and she can do a sweet or a savoury one. :)
  • One of my make up as i go along recipes .......
Make a cheese sauce (just cos i like cheese ! you can use other flavours)
Fry off an onion, bacon and sliced chicken breast/peices (Make sure its cooked obviously), put in ovenproof dish.
Slice up some mushrooms, add to dish, i like to add sweetcorn or peas.
Pour sauce over, pop under grill .

Nice with salad ...... (well i lke it).

    Pasta bake.

Fry Onion + Bacon, make roux sauce, cook pasta, pour over pasta mix in oven proof dish, grate cheese on the top and bake.

Or a filling to suit you.

A sauce I made for pasta a while back...

Make the roux... do you need instructions for that too?

Add enough milk in bits to have a thick (I mean thick sauce) and add one rounded teaspoon of made mustard (or a level of powdered) and a rounded teaspoon of smoked paprika.

Stir it mix well and then add milk gradually to make a pint (half a litre, ish)

Add "a chunk" of grated cheese.

Simmer gently until it is thick and creamy again.

Add the pasta to the sauce, (not sauce to pasta) and serve.

Nice served with a side salad.

The mustard gives it a bit of a bite and the smoked paprika a good flavour.

Would she be allowed to take filo or puff pastry in?

I make my own party bites with roux sauce

Rolled out pasty out thinly and cut into smallih squares square - put a tiny piece of salmon -or grated cheese and onion - or mushrooms - or chicken on each square ...add a blob of roux sauce - fold pastry over to make an envelope and seal edge and bake as per pastry instructions. :)

Probably too late now but there's a chocolate pudding recipe I got from here a while ago.

Make the roux, add the milk slowly beating well etc etc. After it's thickened add grated chocolate - dark or a mix of dark and milk (the whole thing won't take an hour otherwise!) and couple of teaspoons of sugar. Cool and put in the fridge, take a spoonful now and again and hope there's enough left for everyone to have pudding after dinner!

Thanks to whoever posted this recipe in the first place, it does us very well!
