Warning on Lloyds Added Value accounts

If you have the Lloyds Classic Plus account (4% AER), beware of upgrading to any of their added value accounts. I did, and then cancelled after a few months, and they have slyly put me back on to the Classic account (0.1% AER) - only noticed from my online statement.

It's not worth the hassle - I wish I'd never upgraded.
My policies are based not on some economics theory, but on things I and millions like me were brought up with: an honest day's work for an honest day's pay; live within your means; put by a nest egg for a rainy day; pay your bills on time; support the police - Margaret Thatcher.

I did the same thing recently - its not sly - you have asked to down grade to a classic account - you then need to upgrade online to a classic plus account (still free) - they can not down grade you to the classic plus.
