Bearing in mind the new iPad 2 is coming out this month it might be worth waiting to see if there are any good up and coming offers.
Nevertheless, for those who are happy with the older model see here.
They also have refurbished iPads from £289, 3G refurbished iPads start from £389. See here for refurbished iPads.
I also believe that PC World and Best Buy will price match if you have a Apple store within 15 miles of where you live.

intresting to hear about the ipad 2. I was in the Apple store in Glasgow a few weeks ago and asked them about it and they claimed that they hadn't even heard of ipad2....but there were still plenty of ones if I was interested...0

I'm confused is £329 a reduced price? everyone is doing them at this price??0 -
All the ipad's have been reduced due to the iPad2 coming out in a month or 2's time! Which the iPad 2 will probably cost the price that the iPad cost when first out.0

It's ridiculous how fast apple launch a newer model.
No sooner do you buy an apple product than a newer version comes out, no wonder their worth a fortune. It's one of the reasons i'm put off buyng anything associated with apple.
How rich do they think people are, all the people I know who are well off and have ipad's, instantly announced they'd buy the new one, without a second thought.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
Supply n demand I'm afraid - if people didn't want one - they wouldn't sell any. What can you do! Vote with your pennies - if you don't like it - don't buy it. Simples0

NO they should wait a little longer to release a product with as many features as they can instead of releasing one product knowing it's going to fall short as they already have plans to release an updated version so that they make twice the amount of money out of people.
There releasing ipad2 but are probably 75% of the way towards releasing ipad3. There just waiting for ipad 2 to sell loads and loads then the announcement will come.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

I do not disagree in part, But this is how technology is released.
The next 2 windows operating systems are already under development.
You can't pick current technology and spend months preparing a product, because by the time of release its out of date with new technology. You update it bit by bit, to try and tackle the constant battle of updating technology. Transistors in CPUs i think have halved in size since i brought my PC 3 years ago, so not only is new technology one thing, so far manufacturing processes, cost of materials on the markets, etc all play a part. solid state harddrives have got faster and higher capacity and dropped in price, but if it wasn't for tablet PC manufacturing buying up the flash memory prices would be lower (less demand) but the speed of the drive would probably be slower too (less investment in R&D)
Whilst motherboards get released with USB2, USB3 was ready to ship. Bit by bit the technology is put into new releases. Whilst there are big shows where new gadgets are displayed, the underlying technology that powers them is always been researched in the background. Integrating that new technology into a product can easily be a 12 month cycle. Whilst some technology dibbles to to make a profit, i.e. no point in 64GB SD cards as soon as SD was made available, make people upgrade to SDHD and bigger cards over time. Most technology is put into the market when it is ready. USB replacement technology by Intel, (Intel did work on USB btw) is already out in about 2 devices, yet its optical cables aren't as they cost to much to manufacture.
Without constant revenue streams product development would be cut, no only would you wait longer for products but they won't be as much of an upgrade. If you can't afford to buy new technology then don't. People in the office her are buying IPads now due to knowing they would drop in price when IPad2 came out, same applied to the IPhones. New technology is always overpriced, due to high profit margins, then again games consoles are usually sold at a loss.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -

I'm not an Apple fan boi, but your post is ridiculous.
Each product has a life span of a year. I think this is pretty much standard for an electrical product, but is longer compared to say their competition HTC who have launched their revised Desire HD within 12 months of the launch of the Desire.0
