    Thanks all for your help.... I mainly shop at morrisons not sure if they do their own alternative. I see baileys as a treat firstly for price and secondly I daren't drink too much of it as I'm sure it contains far more calories then my usual tipple of either red or white wine....I would love to be wrong about this but I sadly think I'm not

  • There isn't a decent cheaper alternative to Baileys. The cheaper versions are watery and made with wine intead of whiskey. I'd pay the extra if I were you :beer:

    Keep a look out in the supermarket. Bailey's is nearly always on offer at this time of year ;)

    M&S version is on offer at the mo for £5.99.
  • Bottle of baileys in a box was £6.99 in aldi earlier today, 70cl.

    I looked at one recipe but it involved adding eggs...I don't think I could drink something that I had just cracked an egg into....yuk
