well only sometimes, im on the faulty pc now and its working fine but as soon as i shut it down i know that the next time i try it it isnt going to turn back on, takes numerous attempts pressing the on button before it finally turns on usualy more than 24 hours of trying, i have tried it with different monitors and its still the same so i know thats not the problem, now im guessing its going to be the onboard graphix but im not entirely sure and dont wanna folk out for a graphix card if im wrong, but thats the only thing i can think of it being but if so would it work fine when i finaly get it on like it is doing or would the graphix still play up? sorry im not very techie, any help appreciated

Sairz, when you say the PC doesn't come on, are you saying that the PC turns on, the power light comes on and stays on and the hard drive light flickers on and off, but there is no display on the monitor? Or are you saying all the lights on the PC go out and stay out after releasing the on/off button?0

I had a very similar problem a while back and it turned out to be the graphics card. With mine it wasn't sending the message to the monitor to power on, but the fans etc in the pc would start up. Luckily this was an easy fix, about £30 for a new graphics card.0

Could well be the graphics card, but could you borrow another monitor to try it out just to rule out a monitor fault?0

Try cleaning and re-seating the RAM. While you are there, also look at the capacitors on the motherboard to see if they are bulging, this is also a common problem. If they are, then its a new motherboard.0
