eBay Dilemma

Evening All,
A strange thing happened to me tonight. Today, I sold 4 old suits on eBay and raised the grand total of . . . . . . wait for it . . . . . . £44.20 (plus P&P).
Now I know I'm supposed to be happy about this (especially as they've been stuck in my cupboard for over three years and my rapidly expanding waistline means it is unlikely that I'll ever fit in them again!) but, strangely, it's a rather hollow feeling.
The four suits originally cost in the region of £900.
Anyone else know what I'm talking about?
PS I made pasta with tinned tomatoes, mushrooms and smoked sausage tonight. I threw in some onions, a little garlic and a load of chilli powder for good measure too. I've popped it in some freezer bags in the fridge and this should sort me out for lunch until Wednesday! Total cost = £3.
Feeling less than elated with my suit sale but fairly DFM righteous with my Jamie Oliver bit!

Quite recently I sold some games on ebay that I really wanted to keep but came to the conclusion that needs must.
It was a real gutter as I was packing them to send them to the lucky buyer but soon as they had been posted I didn't really feel to bad about it.
I'm the worlds worse for selling stuff at a massive loss and that has what has put me into so much debt and with so little to show for it. At least what you have sold are items that you will never want again...hey, good excuse to get some fancy new threads( as soon as you become debt free of course).0 -
. . . . . and I think I've underestimated the postage. Great!0

I have posted about 5 things on ebay and none of them have done very well. I think I made 50p-£1 on all of them! although I did make a loss on one item as the P&P I quoted was way out!
I have decided that freecycling is better, ( although will post on ebay when they have a 10p listing day again)

I know where you're coming from Lyndsey. I suppose I'm lucky that I set the starting price at £8 for each suit or they could have gone for 1p! With my postage miscalculation, I might have even lost money!!!!0

and on the flip side.....
....I actually have a mobile phone listed on Ebay at the moment and the listing finishes in 40 minutes. The phone can be purchased brand spanking new for £149.99 in Argos and my item is currently at £166.50 and £8 p&p on top of that.
Very strange why anyone would pay £20 more for a secondhand phone but hey, I'm not complaining.0 -
Yay - nice one Pan! Is the bidder genuine though? I've had some bad experiences with car sales in particular.0

Sorry for sounding negative - just tired! Hopefully, it'll go for £300!0

There you go Wilf - glass half full!0
