As you use things and free up space move the 'old' stuff to one end (I'm thinking it must be a chest freezer?) and refill from the other end with whoopsies/bargains/bogofs then, once you've rotated your way to the end of your current supply you'll have a whole new freezer load to start on (at today's prices!)

I really miss my chest freezer, I hate that when I see a bargain I can't buy 10 of them :(

Wow I don't think you've overdone it but I think you should set yourself a target to start using it and buying just the bits you need to add to it. I then would save the rest of your food budget (apart from what you spend on really good bargains-which I would freeze but not let myself use until the rest has gone).

    Miss my big freezer too!!
Since starting again after beanie: June 2016: Child development DVDs, Massive Attack tickets. July: Aberystwyth trip, hotmilk nightie. Aug: £10 Hipp Organic vouchers, powerpack. September: Sunglasses. October: £30 poundland vouchers.
  • I would put the extra money towards the mortgage. If you don't have a mortgage then I would use it for a massage or some relexology. It would be well-deserved after all that slaving over a hot stove.
  • I'm in a similar position - so bad I can't see the bottom of the freezer! Frankly it is plain silly, we go out to the shops, buy stuff we think we "need" take it all home, then wonder what to have for dinner!!

Therefore, March is going to be Make-do-March. I am going to make do with what I have got, and try not to buy any groceries. If I run out of something, I'll have an alternative...

With the £300ish I would normally spend on groceries, I make an overpayment on the mortgage...

Wow! You've done well!! Why not buy yourself another little freezer so you can buy meat when it is on special and freeze.

I actually have a big freezer and a little one from under the kitchen counter!

Thanks for all the suggestions I like the spoil youself ones!

Sorry Bluebag shoes don't do it for me
