I have just done a freezer inventory and found that I have 50 meals for 2 of us!! There is a wide range of home made and bought portion stuff like smoked mackerel so apart from fresh veg and sweets we coulf live out of the freezer for 2 months if I include pasta dishes and things like jacket potatoes.
Unfortunately, by the time we have worked our way through that lot prices will be so high I will never build up that amount of meals again!
Does anyone have any ideas what to spend the money I WILL NOT USE on till I have to shop again?

Do you have any Credit cards? If so I would use that money to pay them - if not, put it by for Xmas and know all year that the funds are there without thinking about it

I'd put the money in the bank and save it, rather than spend it.

I''d consider replenishing the store-cupboard with a few items. Ground coffee, vegetable oil and wheat products have shot up of late adn I doubt the prices will be coming back down again in a hurry0

It's amazing what you can find when you have a root around in the freezer, isn't it? I would say, put the money aside maybe in a special piggy bank or something, so that when you have run your stock down, you have some extra money in case food prices have gone up a bit more. you would have extra money for each month's budget.
Quintwin's idea is good too. Stock up on things on offer like flour, etc. Or just enjoy saving the extra money. Nice position to be in. It's that wee bit more for a rainy day.
Or, as Frugal suggested, take the opportunity to maybe pay something off, pay a bill, buy pressies that you can squirrel away for birthdays etc.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

I'd put the money to one side, so that when you need to shop again, and prices are higher, you won't feel the pinch so much.
