Dsr smeg electric cooker

Hi all, after some advice here please.

I bought a SMEG electric cooker for my mother which arrived last week. Only got it installed last night and upon inspection it turned out to be really really slow.
We have not yet used it, but of course it was installed to inspect it and therefore packaging had to be removed. (the blue stickers that were wrapped around it) but the box is still there.

Can I return the cooker under DSR?

I have already given a written notice to the seller before the 7 days expire but yet to get a response and thought I'd check with the experienced.

I wouldn't have thought that you could cancel under the DSR's, as the basis behind them is that you get the same chance to inspect the goods that you would do in a shop.
I don't think that you would find many/any retailers that have cookers wired in for customers to try.

However, you could try doing down the SOGA route and inform the retailer that you don't think that it is fit for purpose due to the time it takes to heat up, but this may be very hard for you to prove.

Are you yet another drive-by single poster that doesn't come back as they weren't told exactly what they wanted to hear straight away ? Say it ain't so...

Give them a chance, not everyone spends all their waking hours on this board you know. Some people have a life outside MSE!

Well, they've now had 5 days including a weekend. I really don't know why people come along and ask questions if they aren't going to stick around for answers and assistance.
