Bought a Nissan Quashqi 1.5 dci with 62000 miles on the clock,i have just found out that the belt needs to be changed at 70000.I have said to the dealer that I want the belt changed,he is not keen and is going to ring me back with a price for doing it.
We paid £10350 for the car I have paid a small deposit but if I lose it,its not the end of the world.
What do you all reckon should I say that I am not going to pay anything towards it or agree to pay at cost or am I being unfair?

Why do you expect the dealer to agree to have this done at his own expense? It's got another 8,000 miles before it is due.

You can try and push for it to be done, but if you have paid the deposit, I would expect the dealer to tell you to sling your hook.

In my view they should be done a lot sooner thn manufactuers suggest. But that aside it is still not due a a cambelt for another 8k miles.

Should rally have discussed this priorto agreeing to buy it. You have agreed terms with the garage and have a contract so if you try and change it you are in breach.

Best try and negotiate and perhaps he can have it done at cost for you.

Your post isn't clear. You say you've "bought" the car and "paid £10350" but mention paying a deposit too... have you actually already paid for the car in full or not?
