I am after a device for roaming unlimited internet use. Dont need wifi just 3G or something at the best rate per month.
All this talk about ipad2, wondering what deals there are for a ipad 1 now?
Or something like the Samsung galaxy1 now that number 2 is out of the bag?
Or one of these ultra portable laptops?
Anyone seen a great deal per month with not too much down to start with?

Why not just go for one of the smart phone deals, getting very cheap now if you dont mind last generation.0

Yes thanks, which ones have the best deals?
But I really wanted a little something bigger. Seems prices are not that much more per month for a laptop deal than a smart phone? Or am I wrong?0 -
For £25 mnth unlimited net use on 3 sim only deals. 12 mnth contract.

Then buy a galaxy tab or something off ebay/gumtree.
Or just 10mnth for 1GB rolling contract.0 -
Thanks Dell but 25mnth is a lot. Is there better deal for less?
Cant decide which would be better for me the ipad or gal tab?

I do love my iPad but I have to admit that I never thought I would pay that much for a gadget - but hey ho I do use it everyday.

Do you pay per month 3g or something? Or do you pay for wifi at home?0 -

Hiya,
If im honest after owning apple iphone and macs and getting sick of the limited access to customize etc. i recently switched to HTC and just had a go on there new tablet device (HTC Flyer) which is fantastic. much better than the ipad in my eyes.
Even though the HTC Flyer is more expensive than the ipad i would definetly look into an android based notepad....they are definetly more user friendly0 -
jazzcat, there are many things you can accuse Apple products of being - expensive, overpriced, restrictive, irritatingly trendy, but not being user friendly is not something you can accuse them of. Both my 4 year old sister and my 80 year old grandparents (all of whom don't use computers or smart phones) could use my iPad and iPhone with very minimal instructions, they really are very user friendly devices.0

The fondlepad has been reduced by £100 to £350 in light of fondlepad 2's imminent release. Samsung have stated that they cannot compete with fondlepad 2 either on thinness or price.
Jesus Phones are OK but I think I'd find them too restricted for more than casual occasional web browsing.
Just as an aside to the subject, after malware appeared this week that hijacked tens of thousands of android run phones, the Android Marketplace was recently found to list 55 malware laden apps, some of which have used repackaged genuine ones. One of these is a trojan that when installed goes off and downloads lots of proper nasty stuff. All of them exploit known security issues to give root access to the device and once you've got root, you can do anything you want to it.0
