I've never even tasted a home grown carrot

You are in for such a treat! The flavour of a just-pulled home grown carrot is out of this world compared to a shop bought one.

I am like you & grow everything in pots, troughs or containers.
I think it's just about picking the small varieties of things.
SOME of the babys I am growing this year are-
    Carrots- Chantenay
    Cucumber- Cucuino
    Beetroot- Kestrel (Baby beets)
    Chalottes- Golden Gourmet
    Peas-Meteor
    Toms- Tumbeling toms

Last year I grew all my chillis (birdseye, jalapenos & bell) & toms (even a few Marmandes an experiment) ALL in Morissons buckets & will be using them again!.
