Hi everyone
My OH and I are booked in to a caravan site near Harrogate for Easter Weekend and I wonder if anyone can recommend anything for us to do.
It's just the 2 of us and we will consider any suggestions. :rotfl:
Thanks
Vanessa

I presume you are mobile so come to Ripon and have a look at our lovely Cathedral.
York is well worth a visit too. (the parking is very expensive)
Though there are lots of park and ride buses on the ring road.
Havent seem much advertised as yet, have you looked at the three websites, Harrogate, ripon and York.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Go to the spa (I presume there still is one, it is a spa town after all)
See if there are any concerts on at the International Centre
Have tea and cake at Betty's
Or come up to York for the day - if you're not driving it's about 45 minutes on the train and well worth a visit."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
Knaresborough is very pretty, castle, gardens, tall viaduct over river, caves and petrifying well. Can easily be reached by train from Harrogate. www.knaresborough.co.uk.0

Depends what you like to do but I love walking around the Stray in the summer, Valley Gardens is nice (but can get busy!), I like the shops around the church too. Nice pubs in the evening.
Also, if you have a car then pop over to Pately Bridge, pleasant drive and lovely scenery around there.0 -

Have you been to Harrogate recently?
It's more like...
Eat sushi
Walk bichon frise
Drink Cristal
Go to 'Snooty Frox' shop
I have actually.
I was on business there a few weeks ago, and stayed in The Bridge Hotel between Harrogate and York.
Although not as grotty as most other cities in Yorkshire, it certainly isn't the 'pink champagne & a la carte dining' you make it out to be.
(nothing posh about sushi btw)0
