Police call sales scam

If you get a call from a someone claiming to be from the police and offering advertising in a publication called street-watch avoid like the plague its a scam. They prey on hard working business people offering to advertise in non existent magazines purportedly run by the police but published by Advanced Publications.
They should be reported to action fraud uk who are currently compiling a file on their activities. This is a government organisation set up to deal with this type of fraud.
Do some research and you will find a host of people that have fallen victim to them. You have been warned.
If you are a business then let all your colleagues know about this scam.

If it was you that received this call, it might be worth reporting it to the police themselves as they might be able to put more pressure on auction fraud.
