ATOS ESA medical how can they prove/disprove what you say/have written

I have started getting my thoughts together for filling in the ESA form received yesterday but I know it will be a several day process.
Can I attach a separate sheet on the "other information" and "tell us about your illness or disabilty" sections - my handwriting is UGH!

But on my main query in the heading if I am called to the ATOS medical how do they test each of the areas of illness or inabilty.

Will they make me walk over 200 metres if that is the maximum I say I can walk?

Will they induce a vertigo attack as that is a main sympton?

Will they induce my chest discomfort (angina) until I need totake my spray?

Will they set me tests for my memory and concentration.

Will they time how long I can stand or sit still in an uncomfortabe chair.

Or do they take my word, my GPs word, or my medical notes or ask me to see other specialists?

I can only speak about my medical,

I was asked to stand, bend and kneel.. i stood, i didn't bend or kneel, i explained that this would cause more pain to me at that time, this was accepted and noted (correctly)

When i first went in, i was in my wheelchair and i did offer to get out and sit in one of their chairs, the lady said no it was ok, although in report she said something quite different.

she asked how long had i had MS, i said with the help of my ms nurse it is estimated at least 10/11 years, which was documented at 'a long long time' and that it had got worse over the last 2 days,

interesting as i said it had got worse over the last 2 years, that is why i had to give up work because it had got to much to bear with as well as work. I can only assume that the dear woman had hearing problems like me, she would ask me a question, i would give her an answer, but now looking at the report, my answers are not there. But her interpertation.

She seemed i thought knowlegdeble about ms, but thinking back it was just questions to my own problems she spoke about, she was a docotor who has written papers on bones.

You need to forget/ignore what you are hearing about how bad peoples experiance of atos are (inc mine)

If you genuinely feel you can not do what they ask you to do you tell them.

Thanks mupette for such a detailed insight. I am most grateful. Perhaps wrongly I was thinking I would be under 'starters orders' to perform a series of in depth tasks. I was thinking passing entrance fitness tests to the SAS may be easier?
