    Hi there

Feeling a bit weird and unsettled today… Crashed into bed at 9pm last night and still couldn't get up with my alarm at 6.45. Dragged myself out of bed at 7.30 and still feel sleepy and not really with it. :(

    Managing some small things:
    • Porridge brekkie - actually really enjoying it with water not milk
    • Soup for lunch - tomato or vegetable…not decided yet
    • Free bit of cake in work, I think :D
    • Free cuppa to go with it :D
    • Bought unbranded antihistamines = less sneezing = even more moneysaving… (aha, I have realised! I use the non-non-drowsy ones - after the first few days of taking them last year I did a similar marathon sleep!)
    • Getting laundry delivered free - was meant to arrive on Monday so getting it free for the inconvenience :)
    • Got a receipt for buying stamps - must remember to claim back for volunteer job
    • Sent a letter for volunteer work - 2nd class
    • Leftovers for tea tonight
    • OH doing online shop - using MOC
    • Yoga tonight - already paid for so feels 'free' - Ommmmmmmmmmmmm ;)
    • Take refillable water bottle - more than paid for itself
 Need to decide monthly payment plan for yoga course - either flat amount every month for the 2 years or start with lower level in the first year (£50 less per month) and £50 more per month in the second…

Littlekel - caught up with yesterday's thread - I love the spa at center parcs! Enjoy every minute! Also, I love the ideas about the pocket money. They'll love it and feel so independent, I bet.

Determined - Hope the Portuguese is going well ;)

    Hi All

Not really posted on here before but really enjoying the threads and money saving tips

Today i will only be using the diesel thats in the car to get to work and back.
Breakfast cereal from home .. milk from work for free

Lunch from home .. and its really tasty and i just used store cupboard stuff. God bless (im not religious) tinned canalini beans, tin of tuna (line caught only) with some dried oregano, raw spinach leaves and sliced beetroot with seasoning . Yummy :D

Dinner will be haddock (line caught) from the freezer stocks with some veg so no spending cash for me today :j

Ok so a pretty poor first list but give me time, im going to get the hang of this and save some much needed pennies :)
    Ant.

Ohhh, what yoga course are you doing La E? Just started back properly since a few months off due to wedding and moving. The Ashtanga aches have stopped :j

    BUMP! On page 3 again!!

@Rock_Cakes - I'm starting a 200 hr Yoga Alliance teacher training course. The course is 16 weekends over 2 years - you can either pay every weekend the course is on or monthly for 2 years. I'm going to go for that. Now just need to decide whether to pay the same amount every month or vary it... Premise is that you can start teaching after 8 weekends so you pay more in the 2nd year after you're earning.

I do Dru. Started with Iyengar so quite different. I used to do Ashtanga but my teacher went off on maternity and has never come back :( Meant to be starting back again soon though.

    xx

Ohhh, good luck with the teacher training. Keep me posted on what you think of it and how you are finding it. I started with Hatha for 2 years before switching to Ashtanga. I do love it but really need to practise more than I do. :o Though have started to do sun salutations when I get home. :) Small steps and all that.

Have fun at your class tonight.

  • Afternoon all, mine is all with hindsight today.

    1. Checked on line banking, found my Sky DD has increased by a £1 with no notification. (How will I ever successfully budget!!!)
    2. Phone Sky to ask why they have increased by payment - done, as a gesture of goodwill they have reduced my payments by £10 for 6 months. Glad I called!
    3. NSD - done
    4. Drive to work economically - done
    5. Packed lunch - done
    6. Eat lots of chocolate biscuits - damn it!

Have a super evening everyone, thanks for the inspiration x

Hi folks , not been around a long time as I have been very very busy.

Just returned from the most amazing MSE holiday. I won some money in a comp last year and decided to put it towards a fab trip to norway. Just got back yesterday , a day late. Because of a few issues ( which in no way affected the enjoyment of our holiday or caused a great deal of inconveniance) they have given us a full refund of the cost and they upgraded our seats for the return flight home ! Amazing - suspect there are some holiday companies that need to learn from the norwegians . Am going to travel agents on Saturday to pick it up and put it in an ISA for next years trip to Cuba that I can now afford :D

Also MSE ish I have not done any washing as my case is still in transit having got lost during the tight transfer schedule and I cannot get any cash out of the bank as lost my purse in transit :o I have cancelled the cards of course.

Came home to find a Wok from a competition (not entered many latley as too busy) I have a good one alreadsy but this will now go away for a gift.

list wise not much yet :
    • check online banking - all good
    • meals from stores and free meal on todays course
    • phone calls on free minutes and landline
    Still to do :
    • check on line loan and CC balances - got them under control again so should be going down again now :)
    • list two items managed to relist one item
    • start sorting understair cupboard to make space for coats etc that clutter the hall
    • put ad on freecycle for pedometer to help with my 'increase energy' aspect of my happiness project.
    • call in to ex in laws for a catch up. Done , I so adore my grumpy ex FiL
    • email C.V to a prospective employer next job , its a late application due to being away , have until midnight.
    • check for train tickets for june - off to see david tennant and catherine tate do shakespeare in london :D
    • do a couple of comps
    • check freebie boards
Need to try and get an early night so better get a shuftie on !

Got very very distracted looking through photos and emptying case. Not much done but weekend nearly here and not art work till tuesday.
