Joint JSA claim

Just wondering if anyone can clear it up for me, I've been through so many conflicting answers and none seem to be appropriate to my circumstances.

My partner was made redundant in November so we were placed on a joint JSA claim, we already have 1 child so he claims for us both and only he has to sign on fortnightly. We are expecting our second child, I have heard that at 29 weeks pregnant you can claim income support, if this is indeed the case, would we be able to claim it if my partner has not found a job by then?

Thank you in advance.
