It depends what you're looking for really. Having walked the Pembrokeshire coastal path a few years ago, we mainly stayed in B&B's and a couple of youth hostels, but saw all of it.

If you're looking for something with proximity to restaurants, St Davids is very nice, loads of hotels there. Tenby if you're looking for a tourist vibe.

However, if you're looking for something a little more rural, Mariners Inn in Nolton Haven was quite isolated and nice, and even though it's right on the sands, I think they frowned on our dusty trail gear as our room overlooked the yard! Also, I really like the Golden Lion in Newport, which is the starting point for the best day's walk in the whole coast in my opinion, from Newport to Poppit Sands (not for the faint-hearted though, it even has warning signs at each end!).

And if you really want to get away from it all, the Pwll Deri Youth Hostel has the most amazing clifftop location, it was lovely.

The Golden Lion in Newport IS lovely (and great food!) although it is a couple of miles inland, but have a look at Newport Golf Club's accommodation if you want outstanding sea / coastal views - it's almost on the beach and absolutely stunning.

Can't comment more really; living here I'm not sure which hotels have the best views because I've never stayed in them!

    Good luck

We stayed in the Worms Head, Rossili, great sea view. I can't remember how much it cost, we just turned up on spec (so it can't have tbeen too expensive!). It was a nice place and we'd stay again.
