    How much are they?

£3 to £8 for 4 AA or AAA.
Lidl's specials at £3 are now highly regarded and the newer LSD version, though I'm still making good use of 10 year old batteries.
You can also get 4 Uniross AAA Multi Usage batteries on Amazon for £3.35 which are also the Hybrio LSD type.

But for supermarkets and corner shops, Alkaline whilst useful for remote controls should now be near extinct. LSD NiMh are so much better.

stocked up too. Be careful as they have both the 4 pack batteries and the 4+4 free batteries an aisle apart in my Sainsburys.

I'll have to try this again, as the last time Sainsburys had this offer on, I tried to get the 4 + 4 free, buy one get one free, but was told they weren't included and it was only the 4 packs that were. I said "Well the +4 free, are hardly free then are they" but no dice.
