Duracell ultra AA AAA glitch @ Sainsburys

I have just been to Sainsburys and ran into what appears to be two offers running into one.

It would seem that they have been running an offer for specially marked AA and AAA Duracell Ultra batteries buy four get four free (maybe more for AAA batts, I took little notice) for £4.49.

They are now doing a BOGOF offer on four AA and AAA Duracell ultra batteries @ £4.49.

But if you find the 4+4 packs and put two of those through you only get charged for one. So 16 Duracell Ultra AA batteries for £4.49. Maybe more AAA for the same price.

My first thought when I saw all the '4 extra free!' packs- "I'll wait 'till they are on BOGOF". Maybe I'm just unlucky but I have not been able to find any of the '4 extra free' packs on offer anywhere in London :(

The 4+4 packs were in a special display and not with the other batteries

Do you know how long the BOGOF offer is meant ot last till? I suppose the glitch may be corrected soon once they find out. Will try and have a look this weekend anyway if it's still around. Thanks OP. :)

Bear in mind that in medium to high power usage decent NiMh batteries will usually give longer run time.

I just looked on the website and the offer finishes on 20th April. It only applies to Duracell Ultra Power AA and AAA which come on blue card

But that offer is for the BOGOF which is for the packs of four. So, one pack of four and another pack free, for £4.49. Eight batteries.

Instore, if you are lucky, you will get the same bogof deal on packs marked as "buy four get four free". So eight batteries in a pack. Buy one get one free = sixteen batteries for £4.49.
