Hi - not sure if this should be here, in loans or even in vents.....but
Just got off the phone to Lloyds TSB arranging a loan - before the rates go up!
Told them I didn't want payment protection insurance but knew they would try to sell it but quite surpised I got...
Do you have life cover? - I said plenty to repay loan.
Do you cover if you were sick/accident? - Yes I have sepeterate ASU policy.
Do you have cover for unemployment? - Yes (as above)
Do you have CI insurance? - No I don't.
They put all this together and then insisted I was under insured and should therefore take their PPI - Isn't this a blatent attempt to sell me dual insurance, surely if all I need is CI (and perhaps permenant income insurance) I should just buy that?
Or am I being unreasonable???

Ask them how they have decided whether you are underinsured without completion of a factfind? How are they able to make such a recommendation without knowing the facts?
