Notwithstanding, that it is heartwarming to see customers switching from npower.

    Just my opinion.

and mine, it's the only way these pernicious people will ever learn that they cannot just do as they please!

Thanks for the link to the licence conditions - does this apply to gas though? It only seems to apply to Electiricity. I've not actually paid the bill yet, so I could just re-calculate the bill based on a proportion of higher rate units reflecting the time I was their customer, pay them this and dispute the remainder. If there is an unresolved dispute can they mark my credit file however?

Yes. Of course you weren't to know but if you had stayed with them till around August this year then switched, you would have the benefit of the very low summer tier 1 units. Notwithstanding, that it is heartwarming to see customers switching from npower.

    Just my opinion.

Hmm, at least I know why my spredsheet never tallys with the statements they send me.

Am I correct to state this only applies to GAS?

Since I have (almost) NIL GAS usage over the summer months, there seems little propect of my clawing this back.

I was considering switching, but it is something else I will need to factor in to my calculations before making a decision.

Do other companies use this practice?

    Many thanks,
    Stephen
