How to send a newsletter through email?

Hi
I have been trying for days to send out a newsletter, I wrote it all out in publisher, then realised i've have to send that as an attachment and I know some people are (rightly) iffy about opening attachments, so I wanted the newsletter to be in the email.
I spent hours copying the text and images to a blank email, then when I sent it, it took ages to send, bounced back from my AOL account and wouldn't display at all on Outlook.
I've wrote the newsletter out in HTML now and copied it to Outlook 2010 but it loses all the formatting?
I tried doing it through my hostings mailing list function but for some reason it doesn't send, so I don't know if it works that way or not.
I've tried doing it through my hostings regular webmail but again it loses all the formatting/images don't come through.
So I am now stuck! I've spent ages writing the content for this and I really want to get it sent out by the end of this week.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Hayley

It is notoriously fiddly to create a html email that looks right, because you have no control over how the recipient's email programme will respond to the html - gmail will do one thing, hotmail another. You can't use a css file, and you need to be making any style declarations inline with the markup. Any images need an absolute url to a hosted image, you can't really "embed" them.
I learnt a lot from this website: http://articles.sitepoint.com/article/code-html-email-newsletters and the link within it, to Mailchimp, is very useful.0 -
"Print" it to a PDF using something like PrimoPDf (free version) simple as it gets really, mail it voila every one uses something like acrobat/foxit reader.
Find it here http://www.primopdf.com/index.aspx4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed 5.07 + Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy

Forget Publisher, use Scribus (do a google) then output it from that as a PDF. Send that as an attachment. If you are sending it to many people make sure you put the addresses as BCC (Blind Carbon Copy), and that many ISPs have a limit on the number of recipients for a single email.
Do NOT do it as an HTML mail.0 -
I can save it as a pdf by saving as - pdf? I do that with a lot of things.
I like publisher as well, it does the job, thanks though.
I didn't want to send the newsletter as an attachment, I wanted it to be in the body of the email so people would be more likely to read it. Some people see an attachment and get worried about viruses and I think i'm more likely to end up in spam folders like that. (and i'm not spam!)
The article gazing on sunsets sent me seemed good, haven't had chance to read it all so will try that. Thanks.

Try this
they have the option for free accounts but there is a limit per month

The free account would be enough with regards to contacts/limits but I need to be able to manually add contacts because i've got a huge list already from a wedding fayre I did.
Will give it a try, see how it works and then maybe sign up for the pro account.
