CAG are reporting that today OPC and one of its directors have pleaded guilty to all the charges bought against them by Wolverhampton Trading Standards. Details of the case can be found on the newspaper cutting on this link.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

That is great news, do you have any links apart from the above ?Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -

I hope that all the shops on St Johns Retail Park in Wolverhampton are pleased to be associated with this company, who have admitted misleading the customers of the park.
Can anyone in the area name any of the stores there? The stores should be assumed of themselves but I expect that they don't actually care less about their customers. The fact that the retail park is now searching for another PPC says it all really.0 -

From the Visit Wolverhampton website:-
St John's Retail Park on the city's ringroad offers a great shopping experience, with a cluster of large home and garden stores. You can enjoy 2 hours free parking although customers are advised to remove their vehicles within this time.
Tenants include Next, Currys, Homebase, Comet, SCS, PC World, Apollo and Pets at Home.
So just two hours to visit all those stores. They're having a laugh aren't they? What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

One reason to avoid the St Johns retail park then0 -
I would imagine the shops are as sick of them as we are! They must get the flak from customers. Its the landlords who seem to make money from these leeches either by way of renting out the car parks or getting a payment for each invoice.
I would hope now that anyone who paid has seen this and reclaimed their charges! If its deemed illegal in a court they could not defend the claim!0 -
So now we can truthfully refer to OPC as criminals!
Are you reading this, Perky?0 -
This small Retail Park is well away from the City Centre and mainly consists of Electrical Retailers. There's PC World and a Homebase as well. We use it occasionally to look around for White goods or televisions and bought our last flat screen TV there.
We spent a lot of time comparing products, comparing prices and making sure that we were spending up to £1,000 on the the right thing. We didn't get caught but you could easily see why a genuine customer could. We also bought a lap top for our son from PC World and a fridge freezer from one of the others.
No one parks there other than to shop at the Stores on site.It beggars belief to think that they could have thought employing these Criminals was a good idea. Wolverhampton's shopping is dying on its feet, so why they want to discourage people is beyond me.
I avoid the place now and shop elsewhere or online.:)0
