How do I remove rogue website from IE?

Thanks, I just turned my computer off and on again to make my Blueyonder PCGuard refresh itself up to the minute (just in case).
This time a message came up and I don't know whether it is genuine or not. It said:
WINDOWS DEFENDER WARNING
Advise delete
IST.ISTBAR.Downloader.install
Remove all?
and then Blueyonder PCGuard came up with two virus notifications straightaway so I have set Anti-Virus Scan to run again just in case.
I'm not sure what is genuine and what is malicious.0 -
ISTBAR.Downloader.install
is spyware...it should be deleted
but I've got the feeling you wont get rid of it properly without running smitfraudfixEx forum ambassador

What Browntoa says is right. Let Defender remove it, as it is suggesting. If it doesn't work, and you want the removal procedure for ISTBAR, it's here ...
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic36382.html
However, this is all getting far too messy. It sounds as if your computer is infected with a whole bunch of malware.
I suggest you do this ...
1. go along with Defender trying to remove ISTBAR ...
2. download Ewido/AVG Anti Spyware from here ….
http://www.ewido.net/en/
It has a fully working 30 day trial period.
Install it and update it to the latest definitions.
Do NOT use it yet.
Now boot to safe mode. Here’s a “how to” if you’re not sure ..

When in safe mode run a full system scan with AVGAS and let it fix what it wants to.
REMEMBER TO SAVE THE SCAN REPORT and also remember where you saved it.
3. if it's not all fixed up then go through the steps Browntoa advises in posts 9 & 10 above, "STEP 1" and "STEP 2".
Irrespective of what happens after that you should post a HJT log AND the AVG AS scan report to this thread for more advice before it all gets too much to handle.

I always like to see the engine before diagnosing the problem.
How about posting a HijackThis log first and foremost.0 -
I have peerguardian2 running on mine.
Its very good for blocking sites with nasty content and updates its lists itself.
