Hi All
Thank you for reading this. What it is is my partner is now 20weeks pregnant. She is on a contract at our local council that runs until march 31st but sadly it isnt been renewed due to cut backs.
She has worked their since August and we were wondering what kind of maternity pay can she claim? She cant claim it off the council so we were wondering if anyone knew what she can get please? She has been told she has to go on Job seekers allowance when her employment ends.
Thank you all

She might be entitled to claim Maternity Allowance instead - but I'm not sure on the rules for eligibility for that in terms of how many weeks work you need to have done etc. Worth looking at though, as it is paid at the same rate as Statutory Maternity Pay for the same number of weeks.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015
