housing benefit when living with parents?

Im 21 years old and living with my parents. I pay them £200 a month and the house is owned by them. I am pregnant and now claiming income support as i am not illegible for maternity pay or maternity allowance as havent been working long enough in the past 66 weeks (was a student). My question is, can i claim housing benefit to pay to my parents?

    hi

no you cant claim housing benefit to pay them. a question hb would ask is : if you didnt pay the rent would you evict the claimant. i dont think they would do that :)

one thing you can claim though is a second adult rebate. None of their income would be taken into account, it would be based purely on your IS.

This would give them 25% of the ctax bill paid.

I'm afraid you can't claim housing benefit to pay to your parents. You will get child tax credits and child benefit when your little one is born though. x

ignore the second adult rebate, you cant claim that as you are living with your mum and dad

Lodgers (i.e. those who live in the same property and share amenities with their landlord) cannot claim HB when their landlord is a close relative.

ive just looked into what this is and think i could possibly claim as although i said "parents" i meant just my mum, so technically i would be the "second adult"
