Selling a house - estate agent & solicitor fees (nottingham area)

Hi,
I am just trying to get a bit of advice for my Mum please.
She is selling her house in the Nottingham area and wants to move back to where family is (due to relationship breakdown). She needs to get all fees as low as possible as it's borderline on whether she will be able to buy down here as money will be very very tight.
She has had 2 quotes for estate agent fees of £1,750 + VAT & £1,950 + VAT (fixed price as house valued at £95k) do these prices seem to be reasonable/the going rate. To me they seemed high but i'm unsure.
Also she was quoted £450 solicitor fees (just for selling) this was with one of the agents recommended solicitor. Does this seem reasonable or do you think we can get cheaper quotes by ringing around.
Can anyone recommend a good solicitor in the Nottingham area?
Sorry if it seems I am being lazy by asking on here, but my Mum is very ill and I live quite far away and so i'm trying to help her out.
Any advice appreciated.

I used Rothera Dawson in west Bridgford, when I bought here, five years ago.
Cannot remember the prices though, but service was fine, and recommended them to sister and they did her conveyancing for a hertfordshire property even though she was overseas at the time.0 -
I'm in Sheffield and my EA fees are £1700 +VAT so I would say that is about right.
As for conveyancing, my solicitor is charging me £520 including VAT. You could probably get it cheaper, but they might not be very good/fast/efficient etc and they may have hidden charges.0
