This is a great holiday though, and i'll never be able to afford to go when my friend leaves the airline industry, so maybe I should see the world on the cheap while I can??
Have I convinced you...?
convinced me...... :rotfl:smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

Not sure. Tell you what, I'll go instead then tell you afterwards if it was a good idea or not:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

How about Council Tax?Do Something Amazing- Give Blood0 -
Hi Lavender girl!
I have advertised my room, a few people have seen it, one of them will let me know next week so fingers crossed. The main prob is that it is a small room but hopefully someone will take it soon.
As for council tax, i'm fully paid up till March, got some money in during the year and decided to pay off my council tax (pre MSE days). From March it'll be £76/month.
Take care!£6,838.71 all on 0% CC, what a change!0 -
I hope someone does rent your room, as that will be extra income you're earning, and can put to other things

Hello!
The girl who I had hoped would rent my room out has said no. Not sure what to do now, maybe advertise in paper or post office.
On brighter note, sold another book on amazon. So far I have sole one on GM (£6 including postage) and 3 on amazon (£11.69 after fees). Not a fortune but better than nothing right! Will make sure I put everything I make against a debt, even if it isnt much.
Hope I get a few pressies at Christmas (am a muslim so dont usually get much except from work people)..to put on ebay!
And in the spirit of Christmas, Ho ho ho wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and an incredibly stupendous , money saving 2007!£6,838.71 all on 0% CC, what a change!0 -
Hello,
I haven't updated in a while, been hectic at work.
The end of the year proved a little expensive, it was Eid so took my dad out for lunch, then had dinner out with friends for new years eve celebrations. Cost me bout £50.
I also had to pay my CIMA subscription (£76), and for 2 exams (£90), and £300 for Cape Town (which is all I am paying!).
However, bf and I have been good, keeping our weekly shop to approx £35 (asda not sainsburys).
Also, rang up 3 mobile to ask to reduce my tariff (for which they now charge £25!), and they informed me my contract had expired. This is def wrong as I renewed it in August and got a new phone. Anyway, I did not say anything, just asked to cancel it. I have a PAYG chip, which will help me control my bill.
I also had a t-mobile contract going which just expired. Cost me £25 a month. Rang to cancel and they offered me 300 mins and 20 texts for £5!
Then I was reading on here about ringing your creditors to ask for a better rate so I rang barclaycard to ask what they could offer me. They offered me a BT, 6% for LOB. This is great as I have been refused another cc left right and centre and my cahoot loan is criplling. So will transfer £2000 to pay off some of my loan, and hopfully when my dad pays up in March (£5000), I can close my cahoot loan!
I have sold the odd book on amazon, and my birthday is coming up so who knows, might get a little extra to throw at my debt.
Thats all from me,
x
Edit: P.S, I have saved up enough pigsback point for a piggy bank...and they are out of stock! Typical. will have to be patient (HA!).£6,838.71 all on 0% CC, what a change!0
