in Credit cards
Hi all, new to this. Have been getting roundd to sorting finances out and because of what I owe on credit card I've been paying about £50 per month on payment protection. I intended to cancel this to help pay teh debyt off quicker. However I've been on the natwest website and it seems they no longer provide this service yet have been charging me every month.

Payment protection
We are currently unable to offer a product that would cover your repayments in the event of death or inability to work through accident, sickness or involuntary unemployment. We think that financial protection is important for customers to consider and more information about products that could provide cover can be found on a website called 'Money Made Clear' , provided by the Financial Services Authority.
Any ideas or help on how I proceed would be gratefully accepted
Thanks

If it is standard Natwest payment protection which you pay a certain amount each month depending on your balance, you will need to ring the number on the back of the credit card and ask for it to be stopped.
You no doubt will face some pressure to keep it and I guess that's why you don't really want to have to ring them.
£50 a month is definately a lot, particularly if you could afford the repayment if you had a change of circumstances.
I'm guessing the balance must be very large. I believe mine is about £2 odd for my current £220 balance, I must also cancel it now I think of it as I pay my bill every month in full.0
