EDF Energy online saver8 or British Gas????

Hi All,

I'm currently an EDF Energy online saver 6 customer & have received my price increase letter today which has sparked me into looking for the cheapest tarrif.

We are based in E.Yorkshire & currently use 17600 units of Gas yearly & 3500 units of electricity.

I've been on most of the price comparison sites & so far both EDF Energy online saver v8 & British Gas WebSaver 11 have come out tops.

EDF have confirmed I can move to the online saver 8 without any penalties.

Can anyone confirm which of these tariffs would be the cheapest or any thoughts on the above incase I'm missing something crucial.

Many thanks
Mrs MacP

Online saver v8 is withdrawn as of tomorrow, so i'd hurry up and make your mind up and call them! Personally if your already with EDF on v6 you'd be better of on v8, based on the price raise.

as of today edf's prices went up meaning online saver v6 is now only 2% cheaper than the standard tariff meaning online saver v8 will be cheapers. call them now because they close at 8 and they will work it out to the penny for you.

I changed my account online on the 2nd, has anyone received confirmation of the change to V8, either by email or post?

That's exactly what happened to me!

I did do a price comparison following the price rise & OS9 was still competitive - the only tariff that beat it was one from BG & only by £8 a year. I'm in Eastern region, 11500 kWh gas pa,5000kWh electric pa.

Rang them a few days after competing online and seems went through fine, was adjusted within days to new tariff and will be shown in next bill...
