Social fund do they have a lot of work at mo?

I signed and sent back my accept loan letter last Wed for a Budgeting loan to Chester and just called them back and its still not showing on there system and i sent it back 1st class so do they have a lot of work on at the moment?

i know is says on the letter that you have 14 days to get it back to them so could they send another one out for me to sign?

It could be that its got lost in the post. I lost an item that I bought off ebay recently. Sadly, the royal mail is no longer reliable.

Keep checking your account, sometimes it goes in before you receive your notification letter and if no joy by Monday, try going to a CAB to fax a letter stating your acceptance

The problem is they are saying they have not had it back yet so when they get post does it sit in a post road till it gets opened and then passed to who it needs to go then they put it onto there system or does it get put on there system as soon as they open it?

Trouble is the 14 days is near now.

Im waiting for them to process a community care grant. It took a week for them to receive it and I called them today and they said it would probably be the end of next week as they had a back log at the moment.

I'd go to a CAB or alike asap then and ask them to contact SF dep't to ask if you could accept the loan by letter and fax it through but i have known this reply from JCP on many occassions only for a letter to drop a day or two later, as you say it's probably in someone's tray....

Phone them again and ask for a duplicate to be sent to you. If the original arrives in the meantime, they will process that one.
