Our buyer has pulled out of our chain halfway through the process and we are thinking of ways to try and continue our purchase. Has anyone ever used one of these websites and are they legit?

They are not likely to offer you enough money.0

If you only want 70% of market value, go for it...Act in haste, repent at leisure.

Most of them are legit but they will offer you far lower than the actual value of your home.0

If you are very desperate to sell then cash home sale websites may help but only if you are prepared to accept 65-75% of your home value. If you are, then be very careful which company you choose.
Most websites are run by individual investors looking to buy discounted property and they have borrow the money meaning they can not meet the timescales they promise. Others will sell your information to multiple other property investors so you will be bombarded by calls. However, there are a minority which do deliver what they promise but my advise would be to use an estate agents and advertise your property at a discounted price. You will receive more than selling to a cash buying website but should be able to sell just as quickly.0
